Associate Sustainable Development Officer at the International Trade Centre (ITC), the joint agency of the UN and WTO in Geneva. 
Ms. Batool’s areas of expertise include SME development, trade economics, law and policy, global value chains, and trade-related technical assistance. She has experience in developing country-specific strategies for export competitiveness and sustainable economic progress, as well as implementing strategies encompassing both economic and legal aspects. At ITC, she has been involved in project management in those areas, focusing on enhancing the competitiveness capacities of countries such as Pakistan, Mongolia, and Afghanistan.
She has worked as an International Trade Analyst for a consulting firm in the UAE. 
She holds a masters degree magna cum laude in international law and economics from the World Trade Institute of the University of Bern, in Switzerland, and a double-majors B.S. degree in economics and mathematics from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, in Pakistan.

Conducted Research in the area of Industrial and Trade development, serving the Planning and Development Department of Government of Sindh, in Pakistan.
